Clinical Standards

Doctor Guidelines

Best practices and technical compliance standards for consultants conducting virtual telemedicine sessions.

1. Professional Conduct & Punctuality

Punctuality is crucial to patient trust. Doctors must log in to their consultation dashboard 5 minutes prior to the scheduled slot. If you foresee a delay or need to reschedule, update the patient dashboard or contact support immediately. Maintain professional, empathetic clinical communication throughout the video call.

2. Valid BMDC-Compliant Digital Prescriptions

Every consultation must end with a structured digital prescription generated inside the doctor portal. The prescription must include:

  • Primary and secondary clinical symptoms and provisional diagnosis.
  • Clear medicine generic or brand names, exact dosage metrics, and duration logs.
  • Required diagnostic lab tests if further physical evidence is needed.
  • Follow-up timeline and advice notes.

3. Technical Setup Requirements

To guarantee clear communication, ensure you consult from a quiet, well-lit private space. A stable internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps download/upload speed), a working HD camera, and a functional microphone/headset are mandatory to run telehealth sessions on DrWala.

4. Patient Privacy & Ethical Bounds

Patient health data is highly confidential. Doctors are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots, recording consultations, or downloading patient files for personal records. Any violation of privacy laws will lead to immediate BMDC board reports and account deletion.
